It’s an initiative founded to care for the needy children orphaned by HIV/AIDS outbreak, poverty and war.
In Uganda it’s the order of the day to find families headed by adolescents, dying adults being nursed by their children and children scattered among relatives.
Many teens have been and continue to be troubled by the loss of their parents.
As result, many children are living in poverty and most of these are below the age of eighteen. Poverty directly affects children’s lives; these poor children have no access to health services, education, clean water and many other basic needs.
Child Advocacy Volunteers Uganda is committed to supporting vulnerable orphaned children by giving them a strong educational foundation, Medical care, feeding, clothing, a good time, self-esteem and values, and to help them plan how they can earn a steady livelihood as a step towards improving their standard of living.
Many of the orphans we take care of, could sleep on empty stomach, and had no medication, clothes, Beddings and other basic needs.
Our work is faced with a number of challenges as the needs of orphan are long term and need sustainability, however many people don’t realize the orphan’s crisis. In the first 3 years, our organization has been caring for 46 children, due to increased demand our coverage has expanded to 63 orphans and the demand for our services is growing day by day, many need our support.
The fact is that, our services are yearned for by many children. The reason why I have sent you this invitation is; I believe you have some interests, experiences and skills, which could be quite beneficial to our orphans.
I therefore invite you to come to rescue of these little angels suffering from not-self created situation. My appeal is that we build a network; I have invited you, you can invite your friends, relatives, your church members and anyone around with whom we share the dream of creating a better future for all.
I hope you will answer my appeal to join this noble movement to help orphans in Uganda by joining them as a Neighbor. If we help the children, we help the world and that’s why God called us all.
